COLLEGES AND SCHOLARSHIPS


The Vietnamese Student Association at the University of California of San Diego will be hosting the 8th High School Conference on Saturday, Feb 19th. The conference is an all day workshop form 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This conference is for all students specifically under-represented minority students who are contemplating high education. Workshop information will include financial aid, community colleges v private school, lead you dreams, and college life. ATTENTION ALL CONQUISTADORS: Are you creative with a video camera? Interested in winning up to $2,500? Then the Courageous Persuaders Scholarship might be for you. This scholarship is open to ALL high school students’ grades 9-12. All you have to do is create a 30-second video/TV commercial targeted at middle school students to warn them about the dangers of underage drinking. CLUBS


Club Green: Do you like the color Green? Do you want to help preserve our environment? Then we are the club for you! Club Green meets every Monday in Ms. Gerry's room, rm. 701. We will be discussing this Saturdays Beach Clean Up. Also we still have Club Green shirts for sale ... so bring $8 if you want one. Everyone is welcome. Hope to see you there.-Green

The Student to Student Club is now meeting on Tuesdays during lunch. All current members, new students, and any Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors who would like to join S2S and give tours to new students should come to the Family Resource Center - Room 231 - on Tuesday at lunchtime.-Dyson

Circle of Friends Members: We will be having a Valentine’s Day activity on Tuesday, Feb. 15th during lunch. Come meet us at the lunch tables to make cards and decorate cookies. Your buddies will be there hoping to see you too!

ENGINEERING CLUB: Join us for the Engineering Club’s first meeting of the second semester this Thursday at lunch in Room 226.-Uebel
