The Senior Parent Boosters are having a fundraiser at Rubio’s on Clairemont Drive in Kearny Mesa, Wednesday, February 16 from 2:00 p.m. to closing. Stop in for a delicious fish taco, burrito or other Rubio favorite. You can eat in or have food to go! Get a flyer from the Senior page of the Serra website before attending. Come and support the Seniors!
HEY SERRA! Get ready for Spirit Week the week of February 14 through the 18. Monday is Valentine’s Day so wear all of your red and pink. Tuesday is Mismatch Day, make sure you’re clashing. Wednesday is Champions Day so wear your favorite sports team gear. Thursday is Mardi Gras Day, deck yourself out in beads, and last but not least Friday is Q-Pride Day. Go Serra!

The Vietnamese Student Association at the University of California of San Diego will be hosting the 8th High School Conference on Saturday, Feb 19th. The conference is an all day workshop form 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This conference is for all students specifically under-represented minority students who are contemplating high education. Workshop information will include financial aid, community colleges v private school, lead you dreams, and college life. ATTENTION ALL CONQUISTADORS: Are you creative with a video camera? Interested in winning up to $2,500? Then the Courageous Persuaders Scholarship might be for you. This scholarship is open to ALL high school students’ grades 9-12. All you have to do is create a 30-second video/TV commercial

CLUB GREEN: Beach Clean Up time!! Club Green is hosting another beach clean up! The beach clean up is at Pacific Beach on Saturday, Feb. 12 starting at 8 am. We a re meeting in front of Crystal Pier. Come into Ms. Gerry’s Room, (701) to sign up and get more information. This is open to the whole school. Bring anyone who would like to help. Club Green also meets on Mondays at lunch in Room 701.
