Class of 2016  Seniors: There will be a Financial aid meeting for senior and parents on Thursday january 14th at 5:30 p.m. in the Media Center.  The HEFAR Group will address  financial aid assistance and how to beat the high cost of a college education.-Mora



Would you like to win a laptop or some cash? The 18th Annual San Diego Public library Student Essay Contest has begun. The essay contest is open to students in grade 10. There will be four Grand Prize Winners who will receive a monetary award AND a laptop computer! The author of the best essay will receive $500. The entry deadline is Friday, December 18 at 3 at your public library or Dcember 17th at 3:30 if you wish Mrs. Gilbert to turn it in for you. Entry forms are available in the Serra High Library and your local branch library.-Gilbert



IT'S A MAJOR AWARD!! What is? The Leg Lamp, of course, from the popular holiday movie, A Christmas Story. Come watch the movie at lunch in 406 and see a real Leg Lamp.-Klett
  

The Circle of Friends club is having it’s annual Winter Ball dance! This is an event open to all students. Club members may attend free of charge, while non-club members can attend with a fee of $5. Food, dancing, and holiday crafts will be provided. The Circle of Friends Winter Ball is Thursday, Dec. 17th from 2:30 until 4:30pm in the media center. Please RSVP to Ms. Martin as soon as possible!-A. Martin
