The after school Ceramics Club meets at 2:30 on Mondays and Thursday in Room 408. Ms. Klett, retired ceramics teacher from Serra will be teaching various techniques with clay. Everyone is welcome whether you have experience with clay or not. Come check us out. Late Bus passes are available.


ATTENTION STUDENTS: Tuesday the 18 and Thursday the 20th, Serra high School Students will be in front of the library during lunchtime registering students to vote. If you are interested in getting registered or have any questions please stop by and ask. The registration process only takes a few minutes and if you are over the age of 16 you are eligible to register now. Come by and sign the “I registered poster” and show your support for our democracy! Voting is your right that only you can exercise!”

Do you want to know all the dirt on campus? Do you want to stay in bed all afternoon? Then join the Green Garden Club. We meet Tuesdays after school and Thursdays at lunch in the garden, located on the east end of the 200 building nearest to Santo Rd.  Come get your hands dirty! No commitment necessary just come check it out. Everyone is welcome.

Attention all sophomores.  We are selling class shirts this week at lunch in room 213.  Order forms are available from your English teachers.


Would you like  to win a laptop computer or $500.00? It's time for the The San Diego Public Library Essay Contest for 10th graders. Come by our school library to get the writing prompts, resource material, and the application for submission. We can even help you with research and writing your essay after school Tuesday, Thursday, or Fridays until 3:30. The deadline is Dcember 15th so you have a lot of time to read materials, conduct research, and write your essay.  Good luck!



Juniors/Seniors: Are you undecided of which college to attend after graduation.  There will be over 50 representatives that will be available to speak to you on admissions, financial aid, work study programs.   You will be able to gather information and make the correct choice for admissions.  The Hispanic College Fair will be held Fiday, December 9th from 9-12 at the Scottish Rite Temple.  Please pick up your permission slip at the Counseling Office. Please note that Periods 2-4 teachers must sign the permission slip and it is first come first choice.  Permission slips must be returned to Dr. Mora.  Thank you


Anime/Graphic Arts Club is sponsoring a sketch or drawing contest. The theme is "free style" which is open to all styles of drawings. The winning sketch artist will receive a poster as the prize. Please submit your artwork to Mr. Runge in room 614 or Mr. Thomas in room 412 by Oct.27th, 2016. Thanks.

Hello conquistadors, come visit your Cal-SOAP college peer advisors in the counseling center. Cristian will be working with all our seniors on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7-10am, Thursdays from 12am-3pm and Fridays from 7am-3pm. Sarah will be working our 9th-11th graders on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays form 8am-1:30pm. You can sign up to see us in the counseling center or walk in when you have free time. Come get help with college applications, filing a FAFSA, searching for scholarships, SAT and ACT preparation, and all your postsecondary needs!




IMIN invites all students, family and community members to come and celebrate LIGHTS ON AFTERSCHOOL on Thursday, October 20th in the Gym. This is the only nationwide event celebrating afterschool programs and their important role in the lives of students, families, and communities. IMIN will be hosting a Glow in the Dark Bubble Soccer Experience game, music,  and offering free CHURROS! Come by and be part of this first annual IMIN event.
