Do you want to know all the dirt on campus? Do you want to stay in bed all afternoon? Then join the Green Garden Club. We meet Tuesdays after school and Thursdays at lunch in the garden, located on the east end of the 200 building nearest to Santo Rd.  Come get your hands dirty! No commitment necessary just come check it out. Everyone is welcome.

Would you like  to win a laptop computer or $500.00? It's time for the The San Diego Public Library Essay Contest for 10th graders. Come by our school library to get the writing prompts, resource material, and the application for submission. We can even help you with research and writing your essay after school Tuesday, Thursday, or Fridays until 3:30. The deadline is December 15th so you have a lot of time to read materials, conduct research, and write your essay.  Good luck!



The sophomore class will be selling Cloud 9 frozen yogurt today at lunch for $4.

The junior class is having a fundraiser today from 2-9pm at Long Island Mikes




Attention Juniors and Seniors.  Don’t forget, Miramar College will be on campus today during lunch in the Media Center to introduce a Public Safety College course that will be offered here at SHS next semester.  Lunch and light refreshments will be provided.



Attention all sophomores.  We are selling class shirts this week at lunch in room 213.  Order forms are available from your English teachers.



SERRA BOOK CLUB:A high school math genius is introduced to a secret technologically-advanced underground society dedicated to making the earth a better place. The only requirement is she has to leave her loved ones behind or forget Seneca Society even exists. Join the Serra High book club Thursday, October 13th for our first meeting as we begin Seneca Rebel in preparation for  California author Rayya Deeb's visit in November. We meet during lunch in room 303 and snacks are provided. Everyone is welcome to join."



IMIN invites all students, family and community members to come and celebrate LIGHTS ON AFTERSCHOOL on Thursday, October 20th in the Gym. This is the only nationwide event celebrating afterschool programs and their important role in the lives of students, families, and communities. IMIN will be hosting a Glow in the Dark Bubble Soccer Experience game, music,  and offering free CHURROS! Come by and be part of this first annual IMIN event.



Anime/Graphic Arts Club is sponsoring a sketch or drawing contest. The theme is "free style" which is open to all styles of drawings. The winning sketch artist will receive a poster as the prize. Please submit your artwork to Mr. Runge in room 614 or Mr. Thomas in room 412 by Oct.27th, 2016. Thanks.



The IMIN Soccer Tournament 2016  is underway! Tournament games are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 3:00pm - 4:00pm. Make your way to the black top and cheer for your favorite team!!! Top two teams will play in a glow in the dark bubble soccer game on October 20th during our LIGHTS ON celebration. Come out and be part of the FUN!
