SENIORS: Graduation singer auditions are on April 19th at lunch in room 411.- National anthem and alma mater only.  Lyrics must be memorized. Graduation speaker auditions are on April 20th at lunch in room 411. - Speeches must be finalized and typed.    - Be prepared to leave a copy of your speech with the selection panel.  - Speeches should be no longer than two minutes.





Hey Q-Dawgs! Serra High School will be hosting a sock drive  Your socks will go directly to the homeless, who are always in need of socks! We will only accept white crew socks, which you can easily find at any Walmart or Target.Thank you for your donations!



You are invited to join SPARK Programming at Serra High School as we explore the fun of programming!  This 4 hour, introductory workshop will build a working version of an 8-bit arcade game.  The event will be held on Saturday, April 16th from 8 AM - 12 PM in room 203. Registration is limited to Serra High School students.  Seating is limited so sign up early to reserve your spot!  Register online at:

The Serra Book Club is meeting Thursday, April 14th to discuss the independent selections we read last month and look over the new book delivery which just arrived. We will briefly share our selections in a short commercial or presentation. New members are welcome to participate and perhaps pick up one of these for recreational reading. We meet during lunch in room 303 and snacks are always provided.

KEY CLUB:  This year Serra HS has the wonderful opportunity to participate in Pasta for Pennies! The money raised through your 4th period class goes towards funding research for Leukemia and Lymphoma. In addition, whichever 4th period class wins will be given Pasta from Olive Garden! Pasta for Pennies will be running from Monday 4/11 through Friday 4/29. Make sure to donate once again, to your 4th period class and happy donating! Email Mr. Colbert if you need a donation box.



ASB is hard at work planning this year's lip dub! If you are the president of a club or the captain of a sport, please attend a mandatory meeting on Thursday, April 14th in the Theater during lunch. ASB will be informing you on how you can participate in this exciting event! 


Do you enjoy poetry? Do you write lyrics or want to meet students who are writers? The library is hosting a poetry slam to celebrate poetry month. We will meet Tuesday, April 26th in the library from 2:20-3:20. Please join us with your own work, or the work of a favorite poet to share. This will be a safe place to share and be heard with respect. Everyone is welcome. 
 

Attention juniors! We are having a Junior Class fundraiser on Wednesday, April 13th at Cloud 9 Frozen yogurt. The fundraiser is all day, from 11 am to 10 pm... stop by any time and mention that you are with Serra. All proceeds go to prom!


 Seniors!  Get your applications in for the Kiwanis Scholarship.  The deadline is April 15!!  Applications in counseling office.
