Are you a Junior or Senior who got a D or and F in Biology?  If so, you can make those D’s and F’s turn into A’s and B’s in night school.  Night school begins November 9th and ends on January 8th.  Make an appointment with your counselor to sign up for night school right away.


Q-Nation, are you interested in...expressing your creativity? The IMIN arc Afterschool Program is now sponsoring the Creative Arts Club. The club will be meeting every Monday and Friday from 2:30-4:00 in room 408.  There will lots of fun projects that will be taking place. Hope to see you there! Want to learn how to cultivate? The IMIN arc Afterschool Program's Green Club is now meeting every Tuesday and Thursday in room 701 or in the garden. Come and learn what we are all about!-arc



Juniors & Seniors: The National Hispanic College Fair would like to extend a special invitation to juniors and seniors to participate in the Fall College Fair on Friday, December 11th from 8:45 to 11:45.  Please pick up the permission slip in the Counseling Office and return it as soon as possible to Dr. Mora.  Please have your parents and Periods 2-4 Teachers sign the permission slip.-Mora



Circle of Friends will be releasing a new subdivision for the deaf and hard of hearing students at Serra. This club will help form connections between hearing impaired people and non-hearing impaired people. If you have any questions or are interested in joining whether you are hearing impaired or not, please see Ms. Martin in room J in the media center or email Brandon Ta at shsdhhpe@gmail.com



Would you like to win a laptop or some cash?The 18th Annual San Diego Public library Student Essay Contest has begun. The essay contest is open to students in grade 10. There will be four Grand Prize Winners who will receive a monetary award AND a laptop computer! The author of the best essay will receive $500. The entry deadline is Friday, December 19. Entry forms are available in the Serra High Library and your local branch library.-Gilbert


Calling all peculiar students! All those who have been reading Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children will know that these are people with special powers and abilities. The Serra High Bookclub will meet to discuss this book and the series Thursday, November 12th during lunch in room 303. Snacks and great conversation provided as well as our next bookclub selection.-Gilbert
